DJ Dokio Bio

Dj Dokio - “What can I say bout myself? I’m a vinyl collector and I’ve been ‘DJ’in’ for about 15 years now.” Dj Dokio has been playing out at clubs and parties throughout, so you can imagine the amount of 12”plastics gathering dust.

He started off as a dancer through the ‘Soul, New Jack swing ‘n’ Swing beat ‘ phase and Dokio felt that dj’ing would be a natural progression to enable him to give that same feeling back to the ‘dance floor’ that inspired the musical passion of Dj Dokio. (“Plus the fact that I ain’t young anymore ‘n’ the way that dancing’ has evolved is a bit too extreme for my state a fitness!” – Dj Dokio)

Dokio is married to a wonderful lady who goes by the name of Dj Batgurl who also has taught herself how to work turntables. They have been married for 6 years now and have thier up’s ‘n’downs however Dokio still describes his wife as his “number one fan, supportin’ advisor and most importantly, ma best friend!”

Dokio has three wonderful children,1 girl and 2 boys; Page,Lake and Pharrell and all three already have a sound knowledge of the Hip-Hop scene. His kids always give their full support when he does at events in and out of London.
